Round and Round They Go…

Since coming back to the States in October, we have logged almost 8,000 miles of travel.  We have really enjoyed the visits we have had with churches and families.  It has been great to be with our family, too.  We have been able to attend birthday parties for two of our grandchildren, so far!

We are so thankful for God’s protection and his provision.

We have kept safe on the highways and in the air; and we have seen God being to provide for our support needs.

Thank you for praying for us!

Fun at the Birthday Party!

Rene’s Ordination

On Sunday, September 28th, we had the privilege of ordaining and installing René Drápala as the pastor of the Církev Reformovaná of Zlín (The Reformed Church of Zlín).  Dr. Tom Johnson led the commission that examined and ordained René.  Dr. Marshall Brown preached a compelling gospel message.  The worship service was attended by many friends and family members. This was a very encouraging and blessed culmination of Rene’s years of study and work.  May he serve God’s flock in Zlín for many years to come!

Cambodian Conference

Last month the MTW team leaders from around the globe met in Siem Reap, Cambodia to welcome our new coordinator and discuss common issues.  It was great seeing fellow missionaries, some of whom I rarely meet due to our working locations.  I also enjoyed meeting and hearing from Lloyd Kim, the recently appointed coordinator of MTW.

An unexpected treat was that Michael Oh, fellow MTW missionary and president of the Lausanne Movement (http://www.lausanne.org/ ), spoke to the conference about his work.  After the conference, I stayed for two days of meetings with the leadership team for MTW Europe.

During the week, we took an afternoon to visit the ancient temples of Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom.  Some pictures are nearby.
