Emotions at Camp

The theme for this year’s camp is emotions.  We are taking an hour each day in the adult classes to discuss things like fear, sorrow, joy, and anger; we are trying to see how these intense feelings reveal things about our hearts.  We are trying to move toward a discussion of our spiritual values as we talk about what rules our hearts.  Please continue to pray with us for fruit in this camp.

Listening to the Words of the Kingdom

Last night we heard a great testimony from one of our summer interns.  As she spoke of the enormous difficulties that God had placed in her life, one of our students was listening very carefully.  Please pray with us that the Lord will use these testimonies to grow his kingdom.

A Great Start

Yesterday morning our team worshipped together, planned for the week of camp and set up classrooms. We were delighted as our students arrived later in the day.  There were many happy greetings and loud conversations in the halls and out on the terrace.  The evening program was enjoyed by all. Adleka baked a special cake for us because she likes English camp so much.  What a great start!

Girl's Week

We had a great time with the teenaged girls in our local church last week.  Annette and Miriam together with our summer interns, Jinae and Kathryn, hosted a week of activities and Bible studies.  The girls had a lot of fun doing crafts, riding horses, and just being together.  We were especially encouraged to see the Holy Spirit working among them during the week.  Many thanks to all of you who prayed for them and for us!
